Virtual reality goggles aimed at calming ICU survivors, preventing return trips

NCT ID NCT07482722

Summary

This study is testing whether a virtual reality (VR) program can help adults who are leaving the intensive care unit (ICU). The goal is to see if VR sessions can reduce stress, ease pain, and help patients' bodies stay stable after moving to a regular hospital room, which might lower their chance of needing to go back to the ICU. Researchers will compare patients who get the VR sessions plus usual care to those who get usual care alone.
