Virtual forest could ease pain of medical tube removal
NCT ID NCT07457788
Summary
This study is testing whether listening to nature sounds while wearing a virtual reality headset showing a forest can help reduce pain and improve comfort for patients having a chest tube removed. Researchers will compare pain levels, vital signs, and satisfaction between 60 patients who use the VR experience and those who do not during the procedure. The goal is to find a simple, drug-free way to make this uncomfortable medical process easier for patients.
