VR glasses and headphones tested to calm patients during scary heart procedure

NCT ID NCT07117838

Summary

This study tested whether distraction techniques could make a heart imaging procedure called coronary angiography less stressful and painful. 120 patients were randomly assigned to either use virtual reality glasses, listen to music, or receive standard care during the procedure. Researchers measured patients' anxiety, pain levels, and vital signs like heart rate before, during, and after the test to see if the distractions helped.
