VR glasses ease anxiety for heart patients

NCT ID NCT07032935

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) glasses could help patients feel less anxious and have better vital signs during a coronary angiography, a common procedure to check heart arteries. Researchers gave 84 adult patients VR glasses to use as a distraction during the procedure to see if it lowered their anxiety, heart rate, and blood pressure. The goal was to find a safe, drug-free way to make the experience more comfortable for patients.
