Can a virtual ocean wash away bad memories?
NCT ID NCT07393776
Summary
This study tested whether experiencing calming virtual reality (VR) content after watching a stressful video could change how people remember it. Researchers had 156 university students watch a video of a house fire, then assigned them to either experience a VR ocean scene, read about the ocean, or do nothing. They then measured participants' emotions and memory accuracy to see if the VR experience made a difference.
