VR goggles aim to ease the pain of needle biopsies
NCT ID NCT07066241
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) goggles could help patients feel less stressed and experience less pain during a fine needle biopsy of the thyroid gland. It involved 52 adults with hyperthyroidism who were undergoing this diagnostic procedure. Researchers measured patients' stress, pain levels, and vital signs to see if the VR distraction made a difference.
