VR headsets aim to rewire the brain and stop teen dizziness

NCT ID NCT07374640

Summary

This study is testing whether adding virtual reality (VR) to standard therapies can better help teenagers with long-lasting dizziness. Researchers think dizziness can be caused by the brain becoming overly reliant on visual cues. The VR headset will create controlled visual environments during therapy sessions to help patients' brains relearn how to process balance. The goal is to see if VR makes existing treatments more effective at reducing dizziness and improving daily life.
