Summary

This study tested a short virtual reality (VR) program designed to help teenagers who have experienced sexual abuse and have PTSD. The goal was to see if using VR could reduce their trauma-related feelings of shame and increase self-compassion. Six Dutch-speaking adolescents aged 12-17 participated while also receiving their standard trauma therapy.
