First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset before surgery can lower anxiety and improve vital signs in women with gynecologic cancer. About 66 women will be randomly assigned to either watch a calming VR scene or receive standard care. Researchers will measure anxiety, blood pressure, heart rate, and satisfaction to see if VR offers a drug-free way to ease pre-surgery stress.
