VR goggles aim to ease agony of Post-Surgery tube removal

NCT ID NCT07283172

Summary

This study is testing whether using a virtual reality (VR) headset can help reduce pain and anxiety when doctors remove chest tubes after open-heart surgery. Researchers will compare 60 patients who watch a VR video during the procedure to patients who receive standard care without VR. The goal is to see if this distraction technique makes the uncomfortable tube removal process easier for patients.
