VR goggles vs. dentist fears: can games make Kids' checkups easier?
NCT ID NCT05585905
Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) games during dental sealant placement could help children feel less anxious, behave better, and experience less pain compared to the dentist's usual calming techniques. It involved 20 healthy children, aged 6 to 18, who each tried both methods—VR and standard care—during their appointment. Researchers measured the children's behavior, heart rate, and self-reported pain to see which approach worked better.
