VR glasses ease painful dialysis procedure
NCT ID NCT07281144
Summary
This study tested whether virtual reality could help reduce pain and distress during needle insertion for dialysis patients. Researchers gave half of the 52 participants VR glasses during their procedure while the other half received standard care. They measured pain, distress, and comfort levels to see if the distraction from VR made the experience more manageable.
