VR headsets may ease pain for cancer patients during scary procedures

NCT ID NCT03568292

Summary

This study is testing whether using virtual reality (VR) headsets during painful cancer procedures can help reduce patients' pain and anxiety. Hospitalized cancer patients undergoing bone marrow biopsies or lumbar punctures will either use VR during the procedure or receive standard care. Researchers will compare pain and anxiety levels between the two groups to see if VR provides meaningful relief.
