Virtual reality eases chemotherapy pain and anxiety
NCT ID NCT07152938
Summary
This study tested whether using augmented virtual reality (VR) headsets during chemotherapy could help reduce pain, stress, and anxiety for adult cancer patients. 150 patients in Palestine were split into two groups: one used VR with calming nature scenes during treatment, while the other received standard care. Researchers measured changes in patients' symptoms before and after their chemotherapy sessions to see if the VR experience made a difference.
