Video games tested to help heal severe brain injuries
NCT ID NCT06474871
Summary
This study is testing whether using non-immersive virtual reality (VR) games is better than traditional paper-and-pencil exercises for improving thinking skills like planning and attention in adults with severe acquired brain injuries. It will enroll 28 participants who are within 6 months of their injury. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either VR-based training or standard cognitive training for several weeks, in addition to their regular daily rehab program.
