VR glasses ease patient pain during needle biopsy

NCT ID NCT07066241

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) could help patients feel less stressed and experience less pain during a thyroid biopsy. It involved 52 adults with hyperthyroidism who were undergoing a fine needle biopsy procedure. Researchers measured patients' stress, pain levels, and vital signs to see if the VR distraction made the experience more comfortable.
