Virtual reality eases fear and pain in heart procedure

NCT ID NCT07138430

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) headsets could help patients feel better during a heart artery scan called coronary angiography. Researchers gave 64 patients calming VR experiences to see if it reduced their anxiety, pain, and stress during the procedure. The results suggest VR can be a helpful, drug-free tool to improve comfort and satisfaction for people undergoing this common test.
