VR goggles could revolutionize how doctors measure vision loss
NCT ID NCT07433088
Summary
This study is testing a new virtual reality (VR) system designed to measure how age-related macular degeneration (AMD) affects a person's ability to see and function in daily life. Researchers will compare the VR test results of 60 people, including healthy volunteers and those with different stages of AMD, to see if it provides a better picture of their vision challenges than standard eye charts. The goal is to create a more realistic and useful tool for doctors to understand the impact of this common cause of vision loss.
