Moms trade painkillers for VR headsets in new back pain study
NCT ID NCT05921747
Summary
This study is testing whether doing traditional physical therapy exercises inside a fully immersive virtual reality (VR) headset can help reduce lower back and pelvic pain in women after giving birth. Researchers want to see if the engaging, distracting nature of VR makes the exercises more effective at easing pain and improving function compared to standard care. The goal is to offer a new, non-drug option for managing this common postpartum issue.
