Can how you focus during VR exercise ease back pain in seniors?

NCT ID NCT07414017

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether telling older adults with chronic low back pain to focus on their body movements (internal focus) or on the virtual environment (external focus) during VR exercise leads to better results. About 40 people aged 65 and older will do the same six-week VR exercise program, but with different instructions. Researchers will measure changes in frailty, balance, fall risk, leg strength, and mood to see which focus strategy works best.
