Virtual reality and ear zaps tested to soothe pain and anxiety

NCT ID NCT07198737

Summary

This study is testing whether combining two relaxing technologies can help people with long-term shoulder pain. Participants will use a virtual reality headset for calming scenes while a small device sends gentle electrical pulses to their outer ear. The goal is to see if this combo is practical and safe, and if it might ease pain, anxiety, and depression while people wait for shoulder surgery.
