See your future body: VR tech aims to boost diet motivation

NCT ID NCT07205029

Summary

This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) to show people a 4D model of their body changing could help them stick to a Mediterranean diet for weight loss. Researchers compared 133 adults with overweight or obesity who either followed the diet alone or followed the diet while also seeing their predicted body changes in VR. The goal was to see if the VR visualization improved motivation, diet adherence, and health outcomes like weight and body fat over six months.
