Can VR games heal the brain after ICU delirium?

NCT ID NCT07496255

First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests whether virtual reality (VR) brain games can help older adults recover memory, attention, and mood after a stay in the intensive care unit (ICU). About 100 people aged 50 and older who had delirium in the ICU will use a VR headset at home to play cognitive games. The goal is to see if this approach is practical and acceptable, and to estimate its effects on thinking skills and depression.
