VR cartoons calm Kids' surgery fears

NCT ID NCT07131982

Summary

This study tested whether showing children a cartoon video through virtual reality (VR) goggles before surgery could reduce their anxiety and fear, as well as their mothers' worry. Sixty children aged 7-13 and their mothers participated. Researchers compared the anxiety levels of kids who watched the VR video to those who did not, to see if the immersive experience helped them feel more prepared and less scared.
