Summary
This early-stage trial studies how two different doses of vorinostat work with standard chemotherapy drugs (carboplatin or paclitaxel) in 20 adults with advanced solid tumors that have not responded to other treatments. The goal is to find safe dose levels and measure how the drugs behave in the body. This is not a cure but aims to better control the disease.
