Surgery for sterilization: does the method matter for future fertility?

NCT ID NCT07177144

Summary

This study aimed to understand if two different surgical methods for permanent female sterilization (tube removal) affect a woman's future fertility potential, known as ovarian reserve. It compared a newer, less invasive vaginal surgery (vNOTES) to the standard laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery. Researchers measured a hormone linked to egg supply in 46 women before and after their procedures to see if one technique was better at preserving it.
