Scientists probe genetic clues to skin condition
NCT ID NCT07232238
Summary
This study aims to understand the link between a specific gene (TRPM2) and a part of the immune system (NLRP3 inflammasome) in people with vitiligo. Researchers will compare blood samples from 60 adults with vitiligo to see if genetic differences are connected to how severe the condition is. The goal is to gather knowledge about the disease's causes, not to test a treatment.
