First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding vitamins A and C to a standard gum surgery treatment (PRF) helps heal bone defects in the jaw. 28 adults with advanced gum disease took part. The researchers measured bone fill and gum pocket depth over 6 months to compare the vitamin-enhanced treatment against PRF alone.
