Military study probes hidden link between vitamins and gut bacteria
NCT ID NCT07199829
Summary
This study aims to understand how taking vitamin D3 and K2 supplements affects the community of bacteria in the gut (the microbiome) and related blood markers. Researchers will give 96 military healthcare personnel either the vitamins or a placebo for 90 days and measure changes in their gut bacteria, blood levels, and other health factors. The goal is to learn how these vitamins work in the body and how a person's genetics might influence their response.
