Can simple supplements prevent diabetes in pregnancy?
NCT ID NCT06553729
Summary
This study is testing whether daily vitamin D or prebiotic supplements can help control blood sugar levels in pregnant women who are at high risk for gestational diabetes. About 500 pregnant women will be randomly assigned to take either the supplements or placebo pills until delivery. Researchers will measure blood sugar levels and other health markers to see if the supplements make a difference.
