Scientists test Mega-Dose vitamin d on pro athletes
NCT ID NCT07310329
Summary
This small pilot study aimed to understand how a single, very high dose of vitamin D and intense football exercise affect vitamin D levels in the body. Twenty professional male football players were given either the vitamin D dose or a placebo before a practice game. The main goal was to measure changes in vitamin D levels in the blood to learn more about how muscles might store and release this vitamin during exercise.
