Vitamin d supplements may boost recovery after foot surgery

Summary
This study tests whether taking vitamin D supplements after ankle or foot fusion surgery helps bones heal better and prevents problems like infection or poor wound healing. About 90 adults having these surgeries will be followed for 6 months. Half will get vitamin D3, the other half standard care, and their complication rates will be compared.
