Vitamin c drip tested to curb surgery bleeding

NCT ID NCT07335432

Summary

This study is testing whether giving vitamin C through an IV (a drip) right before and during a hysterectomy surgery can help reduce how much blood a patient loses. It involves 40 women in Thailand having surgery for non-cancerous conditions like fibroids. Researchers will carefully measure blood loss during the operation and track recovery factors like hospital stay length to see if the vitamin C makes a difference compared to a placebo saline drip.
