Sticker shock: simple visual storytelling boosts UTI antibiotic adherence
NCT ID NCT06885658
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tested whether a simple visual sticker on antibiotic packaging helps adults with urinary tract infections (UTIs) take all their medicine. 358 participants were split into two groups: one got the sticker explaining why finishing antibiotics is important, and the other got usual care. Researchers measured how many pills people actually took and whether they learned more about antibiotics. The goal is to find a cheap, easy way to fight antibiotic resistance.
