Can sound and light help stroke patients see again?
NCT ID NCT07317739
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at how common vision loss is after a stroke and tests a new rehab method. 300 stroke patients will either get standard rehab or standard rehab plus audio-visual stimulation training using a special device. The goal is to see if this extra training helps improve their visual field defects.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
audio-visual stimulation training using the AV DESK Flexi device
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a non-invasive way to help stroke survivors regain some lost vision.
What could go wrong
This is an early-stage study with no phase, so results are uncertain. The training may not improve vision more than standard rehab alone.
