Soothing scenes may ease pain during womb procedure
NCT ID NCT07473206
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether watching a calming video of nature or ocean scenes on a screen can help reduce pain and anxiety during an outpatient hysteroscopy, a procedure to examine the inside of the uterus. Fifty women aged 25 to 60 will receive standard pain relief (nitrous oxide gas) and either the video distraction or no video. The goal is to see if this simple, drug-free addition improves the overall experience.
