First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tested a new, less invasive surgery called VISTA that uses donated tissue (fascia lata allograft) to treat receding gums. Twenty-four adults with at least 2 mm of gum recession took part. The approach aims to cover exposed roots and improve gum health, but ongoing care is needed to maintain results.
