Researchers track what helps patients survive dangerous abdominal blood clots

Summary

This study aims to understand what helps patients survive and recover from blood clots in the veins of the abdomen (visceral venous thrombosis). Researchers will observe 101 adult patients to see how inherited and acquired risk factors, along with different treatment approaches, affect their health outcomes. The study will look back at past patient records and also follow newly diagnosed patients for one year to gather information.
