First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at whether adding a gentle, hands-on therapy for the belly organs (visceral osteopathic manual therapy) to standard physical therapy could help people with long-term lower back pain from a slipped disc. 40 adults took part. The goal was to see if this extra therapy improved quality of life, reduced pain, and helped with daily activities.
