This study asks whether a simple bedside score, called the Vasoactive Inotropic Score (VIS), can help predict which adults are at higher risk of complications after heart surgery using a heart-lung machine. The score is calculated from the doses of heart-support medications a patient is already receiving, so no extra tests are needed.
