Weekly emails aim to ease the wait for eating disorder care

NCT ID NCT07319936

Summary

This study tested if sending weekly educational emails could help people with eating disorders while they were on long waitlists for specialized treatment. About 62 adults were split into two groups: one received emails with self-help materials for four weeks, and the other did not. Researchers measured if the emails helped reduce eating disorder thoughts and improve body satisfaction and motivation to change.
