First seen Mar 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tested whether immersive virtual reality (VR) or practicing with classmates is better for teaching nursing students how to perform a lung exam. 76 second-year nursing students were split into two groups. Both groups improved, but the VR group learned more and performed better on the exam, though they took a bit longer. The VR method was well-liked and could be a useful teaching tool.
