Virtual reality pods and bike games tested to fight alcohol addiction relapse
NCT ID NCT05577741
Summary
This study tested whether a combination of virtual reality mindfulness sessions and exercise bike games could help people stay sober after hospital treatment for alcohol addiction. 135 patients were divided into two groups: one received this special program, while the other received standard care. Researchers tracked whether participants relapsed over three and a half months to see if the new approach was more effective.
