Virtual forests and music may ease toenail surgery jitters
NCT ID NCT07214116
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study tests whether watching an educational video before surgery, plus using virtual reality (a 360° forest walk) or listening to music during the procedure, can lower anxiety and pain for people having ingrown toenail surgery. About 175 adults will be split into three groups: one using VR, one using music, and one receiving standard care. The goal is to find simple, non-drug ways to make the experience less stressful.
