Virtual forest walks and music may ease toenail surgery jitters
NCT ID NCT07214116
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether watching an educational video before surgery, plus using virtual reality (a relaxing forest walk) or listening to music during the procedure, can lower anxiety and pain for people having ingrown toenail surgery. About 175 adults will be split into three groups: one gets the video and virtual reality, another gets the video and music, and a third gets standard care. The goal is to find simple, drug-free ways to make the experience less stressful.
