First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether wearing virtual reality goggles showing relaxing nature scenes with music could reduce anxiety and improve comfort for 70 men undergoing a prostate biopsy. Half the participants wore the goggles during the procedure, while the other half received standard care. Researchers measured anxiety, comfort, and any complications within 24 hours after the biopsy.
