First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study tests whether using virtual reality (VR) can help reduce pain and the need for painkillers in people hospitalized with broken bones. One hundred participants will use VR as part of their care, and researchers will track their pain medicine use, hospital stay length, and overall experience. The goal is to see if VR can be a practical, non-drug option for managing acute orthopedic pain.
