First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding virtual reality (VR) therapy to standard IBS medication (linaclotide) helps adults with IBS and constipation feel better than medication alone. About 65 adults aged 18-70 with moderate-to-severe IBS symptoms will use either real VR or a sham VR over 8 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination improves symptoms and quality of life more effectively.
