VR therapy trial aims to ease the pain of letting go
NCT ID NCT07160543
Summary
This study tested whether a virtual reality (VR) session could help people who find it emotionally difficult to discard personal possessions. Researchers compared a VR simulation of discarding an item to simply imagining the act. The goal was to see which method better reduced anxiety and increased the willingness to actually throw something away.
