Summary
This study tested whether using virtual reality (VR) can make it easier for people to throw away or donate items they no longer need. Researchers had 80 adults from the general population try a VR experience designed to reduce the emotional distress of discarding possessions. The goal was to see if VR could lower anxiety and improve willingness to let go of personal belongings.
